SOLA's Art Psychotherapist presenting at Edge Hil University and FACT this month

Adele Spiers our Lead Art Psychotherapist has been busy this month delivering training and presentations at two conferences across Merseyside.

The first was at Edge Hill University at the beginning of the month at a Policy Event conference on the impact of visuals environment of Toxteth for the migrant community resident there. Adele presented about SOLA ARTS and explored questions and themes around mental health and wellbeing being of migrants and refugees resident in the Toxteth area and the impact that visual spaces have on this.


Last week only again Adele was invited to present at a FACT supportedconference on Trauma inspired by their recent exhibition by the digital artistKrysztof Wodiczko.
 This was a moving conference with talks by military veterans, PhD researchers and artists working with the theme of trauma. Adele focused on thoughts and her professional experiences around Art Psychotherapy and Trauma support, particularly for people who are refugees.
