SOLA
ARTS is a small participant-led community arts charity based in Liverpool. We
specialise in working with marginalised people through arts and creative
opportunity as a way of bringing people and communities together, empowering
and supporting positive health & wellbeing.
We
are the lead refugee arts agency in Merseyside and run the only specialist Art
Psychotherapy dedicated provision in the region.
However,
our expertise also covers working with people from minority communities
vulnerable to or living with mental health difficulties, the elderly, disabled
people, disadvantaged people, destitute people, and people generally vulnerable
due to social or cultural barriers.
SOLA
ARTS is recognised locally for our work with mental health and integration
through creativity and the arts, Art Psychotherapy, social & development
support, skilling up and integration for people from refugee and BAME
backgrounds.
We
value people and seek to empower individuals and communities. We are inspired
by and aim to inspire others as to the benefits of creativity for therapeutic
benefit and social engagement.
We
are currently looking for new Trustees who can add value and opportunity to our
team. We are particularly but not exclusively interested in people with a
background in community investment, finance, schools based provision, business,
marketing, or fundraising.
